Jets' coach Paul Maurice firmly believes that Ondrej Pavelec can not only be the Jets' starting goalie going forward but that he will also be an NHL star. Strong words for the coach about a netminder many believe just doesn't have it in him to lead a team into a successful playoff run. "I have a firm belief he has the ability to be an outstanding No. 1 goaltender. I do. We're going to do everything we can to make that happen. But it's incumbent on every player to make that happen," Maurice said. Pavelec had a miserable 2013-14 season posting a 3.01 GAA and a .901 save percentage while winning a paltry 22 games. For the Jets' sake we hope Maurice is right.
