The towering defenseman registered 17 goals and 40 points in 77 games, while posting a plus-25 rating and leading he Bruins in average ice time per contest (24:39). His 10 power-play markers ranked him second among NHL rearguards. Chara won the Norris in 2008-09 and this marks the sixth time that he's up for the award.
