The New Jersey Devils are interested in bringing Johan Hedberg for a non-playing role. The Devils bought out the final year of Hedberg's contract over the summer after acquiring Cory Schneider. At the age of 40, Hedberg has been reluctant to sign elsewhere because of what it would mean to his family, so he might decide it's time for him to hang up his skates. "We've been talking about different things," Hedberg said. "Nothing is concrete. I'm still going to hang around the team. Not playing. It's a great organization." He has a 2.82 GAA and .901 save percentage in 373 career NHL games.
