Jamal Mayers got into a fight with Raffi Torres early in Thursday's game. It was Torres first game in Chicago since he delivered a hit during the 2012 playoffs that hospitalized Marian Hossa. That incident made Torres very unpopular in Chicago, in addition to earning him a 25-game suspension that was later reduced to 21 games. With all that in mind, the fight was to be expected. "I realize what my job is at this point," Mayers said. "It still doesn't excuse what happened, but I give (Torres) credit: he was willing to go." That fight sparked Chicago as they had an explosive first period en route to a 6-2 victory.
