Miller (leg) has been ruled out from a return before the conclusion of the regular season, Farhan Lalji of TSN reports. The news would seem to confirm that Miller isn't recovering as quickly as anticipated and will miss the long end of the 4-to-6 week timetable the Canucks laid out for his return in late February. The Canucks have been able to stay afloat with Eddie Lack ascending to the top spot on the depth chart, and he's excelled to the point that the team could have a legitimate goalie controversy once Miller is due back. Miller's three-year contract affords him job security for the long haul, but the Canucks may not be willing to pin their hopes on the netminder in the playoffs while he's coming off a long-term injury.
