Neil is still wearing a cast on his surgically-repaired left thumb, Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Sun reports. The Senators projected Neil to miss 4-to-5 weeks after he underwent surgery Feb. 19, but it appears likely that his absence will extend beyond that timetable. While the Senators remain hopeful Neil will be back before the end of the season, it may be too late for fantasy owners to reap much benefit from him. Thanks to his lousy scoring numbers, Neil is largely a two-category play (hits and PIM) in most formats.
