The Canucks placed Tanev (undisclosed) on injured reserve over the weekend. The team was in need of an extra forward for Sunday's game against the Islanders, so Tanev was placed on IR to facilitate the call-up of Nicklas Jensen from AHL Utica. Tanev has been out since Feb. 14 with the injury, so he'll be eligible to return to action as soon as the Canucks feel he's fully healthy.
