Gilbert collected an assist and two PIM in Sunday's loss to the Coyotes. Gilbert has typically occupied a spot on the Habs' third defensive pairing over Mike Weaver over the last several games, but it still amounts to a diminished role from what he enjoyed with the Panthers a season ago. As a top-four player for Florida in 2013-14, Gilbert tallied 28 points in 73 games; a three-minute drop in ice time this season has limited the blueliner's production with Montreal to just nine points thus far.
