Olsen cleared waivers Friday, Jameson Olive of FOX Sports Florida reports. It's a bit surprising no team was willing to put in a claim for Olsen, who has good size and youth going for him. The Panthers are surely happy to retain the 24-year-old, but with no regular lineup spot available for him with the big club, he figures to head to AHL San Antonio for now.
