The announcement hardly comes as a surprise, as Byfuglien has been phenomenal both for his team and his fantasy owners this season. He has established himself as one of the more dependable and consistent fantasy options during the first half of this season, and will look to continue to post excellent numbers over the course of the second half of the season. Byfuglien has tallied 25 points, 71 PIM, 135 SOG and 133 hits thus far this year with the Jets.
