Downie (illness) will return to the lineup Friday against the Lightning, Seth Rorabaugh of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports. Downie was a full participant in Friday's morning skate, allowing coach Mike Johnston to feel comfortable bringing him back into the the lineup for the first time since Dec. 20. The winger has been a useful option on both ends of the ice for the Penguins this season, providing a respectable five goals and 17 points in 32 games to go along with his league-leading total of 135 PIM.
