Downie (mumps) skated prior to Tuesday's practice. While he's not yet a full participant in practices just yet, Downie's return to the team suggests that he's past the contagious stage of his battle with the mumps. He'll probably need a few days before the Penguins are convinced his energy is up to par, so don't look for him to return to the lineup until the weekend at the earliest.
