Staal was held out of Monday's practice, although he has routinely missed practice of late while still playing come game time, Michael Smith of Hurricanes.NHL.com reports. Staal has been dealing with some foot issues since the beginning of December which has caused him to continually sit out of practices. That being said, his unavailability for practice hasn't posed any problems for him when actual games roll around, so he should be deployed as usual when Carolina faces New Jersey on Tuesday.
