Ennis notched three assists in Thursday's 4-3 win over Calgary. Ennis assisted on the Sabres' first, game-tying and game-winning goal as the first line dominated the game. He was too small to play center and Matt Moulson is better on the left side, but Ennis seems to have found a home on the right wing. The top line combined for seven points. Ennis now has 20 points in 29 games this season and is back on pace to set a new career-high. The Sabres are maturing as a group with Ennis at the forefront. He's now a viable pickup for teams looking for some scoring depth, though the peripherals still won't be pretty.
