Kessel picked up an assist in Thursday's win over the Lightning. It was his first helper in eight games. He's still scoring goals, but it seems odd that this talented, yet underrated, playmaker hasn't gotten any helpers of late. And there was a funny Phil moment in the third -- Tyler Bozak set him up and he broke in toward Ben Bishop. But he actually missed his stick when he went to grip it with his bottom hand and ended up flubbing it toward the net. How do you miss your stick? Still, he remains in the NHL's to-five scorers and should do so in the foreseeable future.
