Dupuis has been diagnosed with a blood clot in his lung and will be out for at least six months. The Penguins identified the clot Monday after Dupuis complained of chest discomfort, resulting in the winger being prescribed a treatment of blood thinners. It's the second consecutive season that Dupuis will have to deal with a major health concern, after knee surgery limited him to 39 games in 2013-14. It's looking like this latest scare could be another season-ender for Dupuis, while also putting his career on uncertain ground. The 35-year-old previously underwent treatment for a blood clot last January while recovering from the knee injury. Dupuis had been off to a magnificent start to the campaign under first-year coach Mike Johnson, racking up six goals and 11 points in 16 games. Now that he'll be out of commission for perhaps the rest of the season, Patric Hornqvist or Beau Bennett could be tasked with replacing him on the Penguins' top line.
