Kassian (leg) returned to practice Thursday, Brad Ziemer of the Vancouver Sun reports. With Kevin Bieksa absent from practice, Kassian stepped in to take reps at defense rather than at his usual spot on the wing. The fact that Kassian wasn't taking part in regular line work would seem to suggest that the Canucks won't activate him for Friday's game against the Coyotes, but more clarity on his status should come after the team's morning skate.
