Clemmensen appears to have won the backup goalie gig for the Devils, Rich Chere of the Newark Star-Ledger reports. The 37-year-old Clemmensen surprisingly beat out the much younger Keith Kinkaid for the No. 2 job in camp, but it's probably not much of a boon for the veteran. The Devils expect to lean heavily on Cory Schneider this season -- for perhaps as many as 65 to 70 starts -- meaning ice time will surely be scarce for Clemmensen.
