The Columbus Blue Jackets have signed forward Dana Tyrell to a one-year, two-way contract. Tyrell's contract is worth $650,000 at the NHL level and he's been guaranteed a minimum of $150,000 for the 2014-15 season. Tyrell was chosen in the second round of the 2007 NHL Entry Draft by the Tampa Bay Lightning and broke into the NHL in 2010-11 with six goals and 15 points in 78 contests but he hasn't played in more than 26 NHL games in a single season since he was a rookie. He has 24 points in 132 career games.
