There's a rumor floating around that R.J. Umberger might be dealt to the Edmonton Oilers for Sam Gagner. Take this one with a grain of salt. Umberger has requested a trade and Sam Gagner's market value did take a hit following his rough 2013-14 campaign, so at first it might not seem too bad. However, there's no question that Gagner, who will turn 25 in August, still has far more upside. Umberger can provide the Blue Jackets a list of 10 teams he won't accept a trade to and there's a good chance that the Oilers, who have struggled to gain any traction in their move away from rebuilding territory, would be one of the destinations that Umberger would reject.
