Boston Bruins assistant general manager Jim Benning might be selected as the Vancouver Canucks' next general manager this week. Benning was also in the running for the GM job in Buffalo before it went to Tim Murray. "That's what happens when you have success," Bruins president Cam Neely said. "Teams look at other organizations that have success and start inquiring about your management group. It's something that a lot of good organizations have had to deal with over time and we are dealing with that right now." It's worth emphasizing that nothing's official yet.
