Jan Hejda, who had such a great first half of the 2013-14 season, is not a sure bet to return to Denver for the 2014-15 campaign. He slumped badly in the second half and the Avs have a number of young defensemen who are chomping at the bit to make the team next season, including Stefan Elliott, Duncan Siemens and Chris Bigras.
