Byrd (concussion) was placed on the Panthers' injured reserve list on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Byrd suffered a head injury during Carolina's second game of the preseason. He enjoyed a solid training camp up until that point, though, and will likely take aim at cracking the Panthers' roster once again in 2017.

Byrd (concussion) was released by the Panthers on Tuesday, Steve Reed of the Associated Press reports.
EDGE Analysis
Byrd suffered a head injury during the Panthers' second preseason game against the Titans, and likely played a role in the team's decision to cut him. Kelvin Benjamin, Ted Ginn, and Devin Funchess figure to be the main trio at receiver throughout the season.

Byrd left Saturday's matchup with the Titans to be evaluated for a concussion, Max Henson of Carolinahuddle.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The severity of the injury is currently unknown, but don't expect Byrd to resume football related activities until he passes concussion protocol. Byrd projects as the ninth receiver on the Panthers depth chart, so he is competing for a spot on the final roster.

The Dolphins are slated to re-sign Byrd, the Florida Sun-Sentinel reports. The 6-4 Byrd is in line to compete with the likes of Matt Hazel, Michael Preston and Tyler McDonald for wideout slotting behind the Dolphins' current top options at the position; Jarvis Landry, Kenny Stills and Rishard Matthews.

They Browns have claimed Byrd on waivers from the Cowboys, the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports. Byrd rounds out a Browns' wideout corps that currently rosters Miles Austin, Andrew Hawkins, Charles Johnson, Travis Benjamin and Taylor Gabriel. The composition of the unit is hardly set in stone, however, as the team looks for answers at the position in the wake of Josh Gordon's suspension being upheld.

Cowboys signed WR LaRon Byrd. At 6'4/220 with 4.45 speed, Byrd looks good getting off the bus. But he failed to inspire during a two-year stint with the Cardinals and will merely battle for the No. 5 job in Dallas. Cole Beasley and Dwayne Harris are penciled in behind Dez Bryant and Terrance Williams.

Free agent WR LaRon Byrd will visit the Cowboys Thursday. Byrd left his Tuesday visit with the Giants without a deal. Now the two-year veteran with one career catch heads to Dallas, where Dwayne Harris and Cole Beasley are the primary receivers behind starters Dez Bryant and Terrance Williams.

Free agent WR LaRon Byrd will work out for the Giants on Tuesday. Byrd, 24, wasn't having a great summer before suffering a concussion in July and spending the season on injured reserve. The 6-foot-4, 220-pound product from Miami (FL) turned heads two camps ago and tends to look good in shorts.

Cardinals waived WR LaRon Byrd and LB Dan Giordano. Byrd missed all of last season with a concussion, while Giordano likely would have been no more than a camp body. Both guys figure to clear waivers.

Cardinals waived/injured WR LaRon Byrd. Byrd suffered a concussion early in camp. He'll be placed on injured reserve if/when he clears waivers. Byrd made waves as an undrafted rookie last offseason, but ended up catching just one pass in four games. He also failed to impress new coach Bruce Arians in OTAs. Whatever little Dynasty-league value Byrd had should be considered gone.
