The 6-4 Byrd is in line to compete with the likes of Matt Hazel, Michael Preston and Tyler McDonald for wideout slotting behind the Dolphins' current top options at the position; Jarvis Landry, Kenny Stills and Rishard Matthews.

They Browns have claimed Byrd on waivers from the Cowboys, the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports. The composition of the unit is hardly set in stone, however, as the team looks for answers at the position in the wake of Josh Gordon's suspension being upheld.
