Burris (hip) is officially active for Thursday's game against the Chiefs. The 26-year-old currently ranks third on the team in tackles with 69 (46 solo), but hasn't really shown up anywhere else on the stat sheet, failing to record a sack, a forced fumble or an interception thus far. He practiced in full Wednesday despite the hip issue.

Burris' foot injury could potential leave the Raiders dangerously thin at linebacker for Sunday's game in London against the Dolphins. With Oakland already having starters Sio Moore (ankle) and Nick Roach (concussion) on the mend, Burris represented the team's final healthy reserve linebacker. However, if he's ruled out for this week, Kaluka Maiava and Bojay Filimoeatu would figure to start alongside rookie first-rounder Khalil Mack.

Burris notched a team-leading 13 tackles (eight solo) in last Sunday's loss to the Jets. Starting in place of the injured Nick Roach (concussion), the 26-year-old Burris tied his single-game career high in tackles. He recorded just four tackles (three solo) all of last season. While Burris appears in line for another start Sunday against Houston, with Roach still not cleared for contact as of Friday, his role will be scaled back upon Roach's eventual return.

Burris will start Sunday in place of Nick Roach, who is inactive due to a concussion, according to Jerry McDonald of the Oakland Tribune. Burris gets the start ahead of Kaluka Maiava, although both players are expected to share time while Roach is sidelined.
