Vincent Rey LB CIN 5 Months
Bengals MLB Vincent Rey is getting reps with the first-team defense during OTAs.
Rey made three starts in place of an injured Rey Maualuga last season, finishing with 32 tackles and three sacks. He was an upgrade both against the run and in pass coverage, and will be given an opportunity to earn the starting job in camp. At worst, Rey should see heavy snaps behind Maualuga in a sub-package role.

Bengals re-signed LB Vincent Rey to a two-year extension.
Rey was a revelation filling in for an injured Rey Maualuga last season, recording 32 tackles, three sacks and an interception in only three starts. The former undrafted free agent has been primarily a special teams player in his four-year career, but earned more defensive snaps with his play last season. He will not be a starter in 2014 but should be the first linebacker off the bench for Cincinnati.

Vinny Rey posted 15 tackles, three sacks, three pass breakups and one interception in Sunday's Week 10 overtime loss at Baltimore.
Rey is filling in for Rey Maualuga (knee) and at this rate, Maualuga may never get his job back. Vinny's three sacks Sunday were equal to the number Maualuga has posted in his entire 68-game career. He'll be an IDP plug-n-play in Week 11 and then the Bengals will reevaluate the situation. Maualuga is expected to be healthy following the Week 12 bye.

Vincent Rey is penciled in as the backup to Thomas Howard at weak-side linebacker.
Rey, a 2010 undrafted free agent out of Duke, is getting a chance to stick in Cincinnati thanks to his special teams play. He had nine tackles in that role last season.
