NFL suspended Panthers DT Andre Neblett four games for violating the league's policy on performance enhancers.

A former undrafted free agent out of Temple, the 24-year-old Neblett wound up playing a significant role in a dreadful Carolina interior defensive line last season, even starting four games down the stretch. He figures to open 2012 on the reserve/suspended list. Neblett will be eligible for reinstatement in Week 5, so the Panthers could decide then whether to keep him around.
