Easley (knee) was released by the Bills on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Easley never saw the field in 2016 as he recovered from knee surgery. The wideout had just three receptions for 71 yards and a touchdown in his six seasons with the Bills. He's now an unrestricted free agent, but it's unclear how his surgically repaired knee is doing, which could cause teams to take caution when considering signing him.

Coach Rex Ryan said Monday that Easley still isn't ready to practice as he recovers from knee surgery, The Buffalo News reports.
EDGE Analysis
Even with all the other injuries the Bills have at receiver, Easley still wouldn't do much for the offense this season, especially with Justin Hunter starting to hit his stride. However, he's a special teams maven, so perhaps there's hope he can get back for the stretch run and help in that important area. The knee injury he suffered was brutal, though, so no one should be counting on anything until Easley is back practicing.

Easley, still recovering from major knee surgery, was placed on the regular season PUP on Tuesday, BuffaloBills.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Easley will miss at least the first six weeks of the regular season. He's close to game action again, but the Bills have such a logjam at wide receiver that at some point they'll need to decide whether Easley's special teams acumen has more value than another wideout's offensive skills.

Coach Rex Ryan said Wednesday that Easley (knee) is not close to returning to practice, BuffaloBills.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Easley's a special teams star, but it doesn't look like there's going to be room for him on the active roster when the season starts. We'll see if the Bills feel he's worth keeping around on the PUP list.

Easley has been placed on the active/physically unable to perform list. He's recovering from a dislocated knee cap that was also broken in three places during the Week 16, ESPN's Mike Rodak reports.
EDGE Analysis
Easley is arguably the team's best special teams player, but the Bills also have so many decisions to make at wideout that Easley may need to prove his health soon in order to be a serious consideration for the final roster.

Easley, who shattered his knee cap in three places during Week 16, is mostly recovered and is hoping to be on the field for at least part of training camp, BuffaloBills.com reports. "Based on the original prognosis they said six to nine months, so we're getting close to that point," said Easley. "So it'll be interesting to see where I stand in a couple of weeks. I feel that will determine where things go."
EDGE Analysis
As bad as the injury was, doctors are saying Easley's repaired knee is structurally sound. He's arguably the team's best special teams player, so if he can prove just a hint of receiving value in camp he's got a shot to land the final receiver spot. We'll note that the team will have a slew of candidates in camp, however.

Easley is progressing in his rehabilitation from a broken knee and dislocated knee cap, which he sustained in Week 16 against the Cowboys, Chris Brown of the Bills' official site reports. "It's been nothing but uphill since the end of the season," Easley said Friday. "I'm getting around a lot better now and healing up real well. I'm getting better every day."
EDGE Analysis
Easley suffered the horrific injuries as he went to the ground while performing in the punt coverage unit. Previously, he relayed that his recovery timetable would be 7-to-9 months, potentially delaying his first game action of the 2016 season. In any case, he'll more than likely miss the Bills' offseason program.

Easley, who suffered a dislocated knee cap that was also broken in three places, has begun his offseason rehab, BuffaloBills.com reports. "Seven to nine months," Easley said. "They say I should make a full recovery."
EDGE Analysis
Easley is the type of guy that will work as hard as possible to keep that window on the short side, but no matter what it starts to push him up against training camp or even the regular season. It'll be interesting to see what the Bills do with him, as Easley takes up a roster spot normally given to a player with better offensive skills, but at the same time he's one of the league's top special teams players when healthy. And yes, he's that good playing the gunner role, among other things.

Easley broke his knee in three places and suffered a dislocated knee cap during Sunday's win over the Cowboys, ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Easley will be placed on injured reserve and may have a hard time being ready by the start of training camp next season. Head coach Rex Ryan did say that the injury isn't expected to be career-ending, and Easley is signed through 2018 on a contract that guarantees a significant portion of the money. He's primarily valued for his contributions on special teams.

Coach Rex Ryan feels Easley will complete the concussion protocol and be back on the field for Sunday's game against Houston, BuffaloBills.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
All it takes is one little setback with this sensitive injury, but after Easley missed Sunday's game in Kansas City and hearing Ryan's hopefulness regarding the situation, it sounds like the injury-depleted Bills are ready to welcome their special teams ace back.
