Moore ran the 40-yard dash in 4.42 seconds and had the second-best vertical jump among receivers at 39.5 inches at the NFL Combine.
EDGE Analysis
Moore continues to boost his stock with each event at the combine, testing at or near the top of his position in nearly every drill to this point. He not only measured in taller than expected at 6-foot, but Moore has shown explosive athleticism. His broad jump was easily the best among receivers at 132.0 inches, which is a full foot better than the average for a receiver. That kind of lower body strength and explosiveness shows up on film and explains his ability to break tackles and run after the catch, so putting up an elite number in the broad jump confirms what scouts have noted from studying him. He still has some agility drills left in his workout, but Moore is turning in the type of combine that should make him a top-40 pick at worst with the potential to creep into the first round.

Moore measured in at 6-foot and 210 pounds at Thursday's weigh-in at the NFL Combine, Charles Robinson of Yahoo! Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
As a receiver that some feared would check in closer to 5-foot-10, this was a great result for Moore on Thursday. Moore was already considered among the first tier of receivers in the upcoming draft and alleviating concerns about his size further cements him among the upper echelon in this class. He still has position-specific testing coming up Saturday, however.

Moore announced Dec. 19 via his personal Twitter account that he would forgo his senior season at Maryland and enter the 2018 NFL Draft.
EDGE Analysis
A first-team All-Big Ten performer as a junior, Moore was named the conference's Receiver of the Year after hauling in 80 receptions for 1,033 yards and eight touchdowns. The 5-foot-11, 215-pound Moore has drawn rave reviews for his ball skills and run-after-catch ability, which should put him on track for an early-round selection.

D.J. Moore will open training camp as the Bucs' slot corner. Moore spent the majority of last year out of football, but his experience in Lovie Smith's Tampa-2 makes him the favorite for snaps in nickel packages. His main competition will be Danny Gorrer and third-year CB Leonard Johnson. Moore had 10 interceptions in three seasons under Smith from 2010-2012.

Bucs DC Leslie Frazier said CB D.J. Moore is "running ahead of the pack" as the early favorite for slot corner duties. Moore knows the defense like the back of his hand after playing for coach Lovie Smith in Chicago from 2010-2012 when he notched ten interceptions as the Bears' nickel corner. Moore's main competition is Leonard Johnson and Mike Jenkins. Alterraun Verner and Johnthan Banks are expected to man the outside.

Buccaneers signed CB D.J. Moore, formerly of the Panthers. Moore, 27 in March, spent most of last year out of football after being cut by the Panthers in October. New Bucs coach Lovie Smith knows Moore from Chicago, where he notched ten interceptions across the 2010-2012 seasons, often covering the slot. Moore could push Bucs slot CB Leonard Johnson for snaps.
