Royal was targeted a team-high 12 times in Saturday's overtime win over the 49ers, leading the Chargers with 10 catches for 94 yards and a touchdown.

Royal was a crucial part of the Chargers' big second-half comeback, especially his 17-yard catch on a critical fourth-and-8 that kept San Diego's game-tying drive alive. Royal seemed to be the player who benefitted most from Keenan Allen's absence, so if you are in a league that plays through Week 17, keep an eye on Allen's status leading up to next Sunday's matchup with the Chiefs. If Allen is out again, Royal stands to benefit.

Royal caught 2-of-5 targets for 30 yards in Sunday's 23-14 loss to the Patriots.

Royal burnt the Ravens for a 9-81-1 receiving line in Week 13, but he couldn't do the same against a far better secondary Sunday night. He'll face his former team, the Broncos, in Week 15.

Royal (toe) had a season-high nine catches on 10 targets for 81 yards and a touchdown Sunday against the Ravens.

Royal's touchdown was a one-yard score with 38 seconds left that gave the Chargers their first lead of the game in an eventual 34-33 victory. He tied his season-high in targets and scored his first touchdown since Week 6 against the Raiders. Royal has the ability to put some some solid games, though he is firmly behind Keenan Allen and Malcom Floyd on the depth chart, not to mention tight end Antonio Gates, so his fantasy upside is still fairly limited.

Royal (toe) is active for Sunday's game at Baltimore.

Royal is coming off of a surprising six-catch performance in Week 12, but before that game, his production had been pretty much non- existent. We will see if Philip Rivers continues to look his way today.

Royal caught all six of the passes that were thrown his way for 50 yards on Sunday against the Rams.

Royal's six receptions were tied with Keenan Allen for most on the team, and this was the first time he caught more than three passes since Week 4 versus the Jaguars. Philip Rivers didn't really take many deep shots in this game, so Royal was more busy than usual on underneath routes. We shall see if this trends continues in the coming weeks or if this was just a one-game anomaly.

Royal did not record a catch and only received one target in Sunday's loss at Miami.

The Chargers were completely destroyed in this game, but Royal's production continues to diminish. At this point, he is firmly buried behind Keenan Allen, Malcom Floyd and Antonio Gates in the pass-catching pecking order, and that does not figure to change anytime soon.

Royal had three catches on three targets for 29 yards in Thursday night's loss at Denver.

The pecking order in San Diego is fairly clear and consistent with Keenan Allen and Malcom Floyd serving as the wide receivers who always receive the most targets and Antonio Gates getting his fair share of looks from the tight end position. The Bolts also like to throw to their running backs a fair amount, so there typically isn't too much left for Royal after all is said and done. Since a spectacular Week 4 performance, Royal has averaged just two catches on three targets over the past four games.

Royal (elbow) had just one catch on five targets for 20 yards in Sunday's loss to Kansas City.

Royal left last Sunday's game at Oakland with a rib injury, but it was never considered serious. He nearly connected with Philip Rivers on a long pass play in the final minute of the game, but he could not come down with the ball. He'll get a stiff test in Week 8 at Denver, although Rivers might be forced to air it out more than usual against a potent Broncos' offense.

Royal (elbow) is listed as active for Sunday's game against the Chiefs.

While his average of 54.2 receiving yards per game isn't especially notable, Royal has maintained fantasy utility by scoring five TDs over his last four games.

Royal (elbow) is probable for Sunday's game against the Chiefs, the Chargers' official site reports.

Royal should be out there if you need him Sunday, and while his average of 54.2 receiving yards per game isn't eye-popping, he has scored five TDs over his last four contests.
