Hatcher has been released by the Redskins, The Washington Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Hatcher was previously reported to be considering retirement, after knee inflammation and a stinger hindered him during this past season. In fact, the 33-year-old Hatcher posted just 20 tackles and two sacks in 2015, marking his lowest figures in five years. After signing a four-year, $27.5 million deal in 2014, Hatcher's market figures to be considerably cooler as he enters free agency this time around.

Hatcher (neck) is considering retirement now that the Redskins' season has ended, ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Hatcher's tenth NFL season came to a close Sunday when the Redskins were eliminated from the playoffs by the Packers, leaving the 33-year-old to deliberate his future. Along with inflammation in his knee, Hatcher suffered a stringer this season, when he tallied 20 tackles and two sacks in 15 games played. With the Redskins thought to be targeting more youth along their defensive line next season, Hatcher may have to restructure his contract if he decides to come back, but he's made no such determination at this point.

Hatcher (knee) is out for Sunday's game against Philadelphia. It's possible that Hatcher will simply sit out the remaining two games in an attempt to let his lingering knee issue fully recover, so those who use him as an IDP should make other plans.
