Free agent QB David Carr says the Browns are one of "about six or seven teams" that have expressed interest in him should the team draft his brother, Fresno State QB Derek Carr. Browns OC Kyle Shanahan was the wide receivers coach in David's final season with the Texans in 2006, so he knows the offense particularly well. Hooking up with a team that drafts Derek seems to be David's best shot at landing an NFL job for at least the summer. David was out of the league in 2013.

The Baltimore Sun thinks the Ravens could be interested in free agent QB David Carr. Carr is hoping to land a gig as a backup prior to May's draft. He has experience in new Ravens OC Gary Kubiak's offense from their brief time together in Houston. Baltimore hasn't been shy about wanting Tyrod Taylor to take the next step behind Joe Flacco. The Ravens went after Brandon Weeden in March.

Free agent QB David Carr is hoping to sign before May's draft. There's been some chatter that David will sign with whichever team drafts younger brother Derek Carr as a mentor. ESPN's Adam Schefter says there's nothing to that. David Carr is 35 years old and was out of the league last year, so he's not going to picky about any opportunities.

Fresno State QB Derek Carr said "there are teams thinking about" signing free agent QB David Carr if they draft Derek. "There's so much positive things about having us both on the same team, that I don't know why somebody wouldn't think about it," Derek said. "And the truth is there are teams thinking about it, because they've been letting us know about it." The brothers have been working out with ex-Giants QBs coach Mike Sullivan to prepare Derek for the draft and try to get David back in the NFL.

Free agent QB David Carr is attempting to "resume" his NFL career this offseason, working with ex-Giants QBs coach Mike Sullivan. Perhaps inspired by younger brother Derek entering the NFL as a potential early-round pick, Carr will train with his sibling and Sullivan before Fresno State's March Pro Day. David turns 35 in July and spent last year out of football. He did receive in-season tryouts from the Titans, Raiders, and Cowboys.

Free agent QB David Carr will visit the Cowboys on Tuesday. With Tony Romo (back) done for the season, Kyle Orton needs a backup. Carr has been out of the league all season after he was part of the Giants' final cuts. He could make a few thousand bucks for a week's worth of work.

Free agent David Carr will go through a physical and tryout Sunday at the Raiders' facility. Matt Flynn's abominable Week 4 performance has the Raiders on the lookout for a backup upgrade behind Terrelle Pryor. They like UDFA Matt McGloin, but couldn't afford to trust him for serious playing time were Pryor to suffer another injury. If the Raiders like what they see from 34-year-old Carr, it's entirely possible they'd throw in the towel on Flynn and release him. He can't play.

FOX Sports reports the Titans will work out free agent QB David Carr on Tuesday. The Titans have just Ryan Fitzpatrick behind Jake Locker (hip, knee), so they're in the market for a veteran backup. They apparently won't be going the Rusty Smith route. Carr has attempted all of 61 passes since 2007. The Titans would be in major trouble if he got into a game.

Giants released QB David Carr. The Giants are going with Curtis Painter and rookie Ryan Nassib behind Eli Manning. The move comes six months after some outlets earnestly speculated that Carr might draw interest as a starter in free agency. The No. 1 pick of the 2002 draft, Carr hits the open market having attempted just 61 passes since 2007. Perhaps he'll draw interest as a third stringer.

Giants re-signed QB David Carr to a one-year contract. The No. 1 pick of the 2002 draft is returning to back up Eli Manning for the fifth time in six years. Reports that Carr could draw interest as a starter turned out to be predictably absurd. Carr has attempted just 61 passes over the past five seasons.
