Hill had two tackles (both solo) in his 2014 debut Sunday against the Falcons. Hill returned from his suspension as part of a four-safety rotation along with Darian Stewart, Matt Elam and Terrence Brooks. Stewart and Brooks each played about two-thirds of the snaps, while Elam and Hill each logged approximately one-third. In addition to holding up well in coverage, Hill made one of his two tackles behind the line of scrimmage, and also hit Matt Ryan hard on a blitz. The Ravens will probably settle on two or three of the four safeties eventually, but it won't be surprising if they stick with the rotation next week in Cincinnati.

Hill was suspended six games to begin the year for violating the league's substance abuse policy, but he showed enough in his first week back at practice to warrant a return to the active roster. In 12 games with the Giants last season, Hill recorded 77 tackles (60 solo), two interceptions and two forced fumbles, and he could play a significant role right away for Baltimore, perhaps as part of a five-safety rotation.

As of early Friday afternoon, the Ravens still have not activated Hill from his suspension for Sunday's game against the Falcons, the Baltimore Sun's Jeff Zrebiec reports. Though Hill served his six games, the Ravens have the option to wait until Monday to activate him. With the safety position shaping up as the team's biggest weakness this season, there's been talk that Hill could step right into a significant role, possibly even a starting spot. He needs to be activated Friday or Saturday in order to play in Sunday's game.

Hill could challenge Darian Stewart for a starting safety spot upon return from his six-game suspension for Week 7, The Baltimore Sun reports. Stewart has been the better of Baltimore's two starting safeties, but Matt Elam still seems less likely to lose his job. Hill was fantastic for the Giants last year, and it won't be surprising if he gets significant playing time as soon as he's eligible. The safety position has been Baltimore's glaring weakness this season.

He'll stay fresh in the Arena League until he's able to return to the NFL in Week 7. Despite all the off-field issues, we'd be surprised if Hill's NFL career is over.
