ESPN Redskins reporter John Keim believes RT Tyler Polumbus is the starter and he does not "see that changing any time soon." When Washington selected rookie OT Morgan Moses with the No. 66 overall pick in this year's draft, the assumption was Moses would take over the starting right tackle position immediately. Keim disagrees, saying Moses "has too many issues to smooth out to be an immediate starter." Polumbus should hold onto his starting job for at least one more season.

Sources tell the Washington Post that coach Mike Shanahan views RT Tyler Polumbus as "his guy." Polumbus started 15 games last season and the Redskins led the NFL in rushing, but he graded out 77th among 80 qualifying tackles per PFF. Only Gabe Carimi, D'Anthony Batiste and Michael Harris were worse in pass protection. Still, Polumbus will enter camp as the starter ahead of newcomers Jeremy Trueblood and Tom Compton. This was the first offseason in his career he's been completely devoted to the right tackle spot.

The Washington Examiner confirms Tyler Polumbus is the favorite for the Redskins' the starting right tackle job. Polumbus is facing little in the way of competition from Jeremy Trueblood and Tony Pashos. 2012 sixth-round pick Tom Compton is expected to stay on the left side for now, backing up Trent Williams.

CSN Washington believes Tyler Polumbus has the "inside track" to the Redskins' starting right tackle job. Polumbus started 15 games at right tackle for Washington last season, but he was completely over-matched as both a run and pass blocker. The Redskins re-signed Polumbus to a two-year deal, but they also brought in veterans Jeremy Trueblood and Tony Pashos as competition. The team is also reportedly very high on 2012 sixth-round pick Tom Compton, but he might be another year away.

Redskins re-signed RT Tyler Polumbus to a two-year contract. Polumbus flirted with the Jaguars, but it was always in his best interest to stay in Washington's zone scheme, where he is viewed as a starting-caliber player. Pro Football Focus would vehemently disagree with the Redskins' evaluation, giving Polumbus the single-worst right tackle grade in the NFL last season. Polumbus, ideally, would be a swing tackle. He'll face competition from Bucs castoff Jeremy Trueblood and perhaps a rookie draft pick in training camp.

Free agent RT Tyler Polumbus will visit the Jaguars on Thursday. The Jaguars are in dire need of a right tackle after Cameron Bradfield and Guy Whimper stunk up the joint at the position last season. However, Polumbus wasn't much better in Washington. Jacksonville needs to be aiming higher for a starter.

Redskins RT Tyler Polumbus (concussion) has been cleared to practice. Polumbus suffered the concussion in Week 15, and Maurice Hurt filled in well against the Eagles last week. As we know, getting cleared to practice isn't the final hurdle. Polumbus will still need to be cleared by an independent neurologist in advance of Sunday's playoff play-in game against the Cowboys.

Redskins RT Tyler Polumbus is still bothered by concussion symptoms. Polumbus has not even been cleared to practice since sustaining his concussion in the Week 15 win at Cleveland. Maurice Hurt, who handled himself well in a Week 16 spot-start, will likely get the nod again for Sunday night's showdown with the Cowboys.

Redskins RT Tyler Polumbus (concussion) will continue to be evaluated this week. Polumbus was a surprise inactive last week, and it sounds like he still needs to gain clearance from an independent neurologist before returning. With Jordan Black suspended, the Redskins could be forced to Maurice Hurt yet again at right tackle. Polumbus should be considered questionable for Week 17.

Redskins RT Tyler Polumbus (concussion) is inactive for Sunday's Week 16 game against the Eagles. It's a surprise after Polumbus practiced on Friday and was expected to play. He must not have gained final clearance from an independent neurologist. It's a blow the continuity of a Redskins' offensive line that has remained remarkably healthy this year, but Polumbus is just a backup-caliber talent anyway. Maurice Hurt will start and we wouldn't expect much of a drop-off.
