Smith caught one of two targets for six yards in Thursday's win over the Panthers.
EDGE Analysis
He made his catch on the second play of the game, was targeted once early in the second quarter, and then wasn't heard from again. What's even more disturbing for Smith's owners is he was out-snapped by Nelson Agholor 48-35, after seeing five fewer snaps in Week 5. The 28-year-old receiver has been ineffective thus far this season, and even though Coach Doug Pederson recently said that Smith still had a role in the Eagles' offense, this usage indicates otherwise. He cannot be relied on in fantasy except as a deep-league desperation play.

Smith caught three of four targets for 70 yards and a TD in Sunday's defeat of the Cardinals.
EDGE Analysis
He also lost three yards on his lone rushing attempt. It was Smith's biggest game of the season thus far as he finally connected on one of the long bombs he is dependent on for fantasy relevance. Still, the 28-year-old is struggling to attract targets in a crowded Eagles receiving corps and has no more than five in any game this season. Unless Zach Ertz or Alshon Jeffery get hurt, expect more of the same from Smith for the time being.

Eagles coach Doug Pederson said he wants Smith to work through his struggles while staying involved in the offense, Zach Berman of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
EDGE Analysis
Smith has been unable to take advantage of his impressive deep speed, limited by drops through his first four games with the Eagles. He has 10 catches for 134 yards on 19 targets, but he'd likely be over 200 yards if not for a few ugly drops. The Eagles won't be able to tolerate it all season, but they apparently aren't quite ready to demote Smith, as his ability to get open has at least been encouraging. He could see some extra targets Week 5 against the Cardinals, as Patrick Peterson figures to shadow Alshon Jeffery while Nelson Agholor and Tyrann Mathieu square off in the slot.

Smith caught one of three targets for nine yards in Sunday's 26-24 win over the Chargers.
EDGE Analysis
Smith got a couple deep looks on Philadelphia's opening drive and dropped a potential touchdown. He wasn't targeted again until the final series of the game, ultimately finishing fifth on the team in targets. While his speed appears fully intact, Smith's unreliable hands have prevented him from taking advantage. He'll eventually break off a long touchdown, but his weekly floor is tough to deal with. Smith could see a few extra targets in Week 5 while Alshon Jeffery does battle with Cardinals cornerback Patrick Peterson.

Smith caught four of five targets for 29 yards in Sunday's victory over the Giants.
EDGE Analysis
Smith was once again a distant third in targets behind Zach Ertz and Alshon Jeffery and still hasn't connected for one of the long bombs that have always been key to the seven-year veteran's fantasy relevance. While he remains a boom-or-bust wide receiver, the bet has to be on the "bust" side each week until he shows more of a rapport with his quarterback or one of the Eagles' primary pass catchers gets hurt.

Smith (illness) is listed as active Sunday against the Giants, Tim McManus of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Entering the weekend with an illness, Smith was handed a questionable designation, but it won't stop him from at least suiting up in Week 3. On the season, he's so far reeled off three catches of 20-plus yards on his way to 19.2 YPC.

Smith (illness) is expected to play Sunday against the Giants, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
EDGE Analysis
Smith was added to the injury report Friday because of the illness, and while he is officially listed as questionable, it's apparently not serious enough to hold him out.

Smith was added to Friday's injury report with an illness and is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Giants, Zach Berman of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
EDGE Analysis
While it would be better if Smith had gotten sick earlier in the week, he should still have enough time to recover for Sunday's game. The Giants may be without top cornerback Janoris Jenkins (ankle), who likely will spend most of his time covering Alshon Jeffery if he's able to play. Assuming his own health checks out, it's as good of a week as any for Smith to sneak behind the defense for one of the long gains on which he's always made his living. He's accounted for just 13 percent of the Eagles' targets through two weeks.

Smith caught four of eight targets for sixty-six yards in Sunday's loss to the Chiefs.
EDGE Analysis
While he still saw fewer targets than Alshon Jeffery (12) and Zach Ertz (10), the Eagles made more of an effort to get Smith the ball in this game. However, the high target share was also partly attributable to Philadelphia's inability to get a running game going. The 28-year-old receiver remains hit-or-miss depending on whether he sees the end zone in a given week.

Smith had one reception for thirty yards on three targets in Sunday's win over Washington.
EDGE Analysis
Such is the life of a deep threat like Smith. He will largely be a boom-or-bust receiver each week depending on whether he and Carson Wentz are able to connect on a long route or two. While Alshon Jeffery, Zach Ertz, and Nelson Agholor each saw at least seven targets, it is noteworthy that even though Smith's target share was minimal, the two misses were both downfield attempts.
