Hightower gained 51 yards in 15 carries and another 54 yards on two receptions, including a 50-yard touchdown grab, in Sunday's win against the Rams.
EDGE Analysis
Hightower was quiet for most of the afternoon before hauling in a long touchdown from wide receiver Willie Snead on a trick play in the fourth quarter. He also ripped off a 30-yard run on the Saints' final offensive possession. Hightower performed well in Week 11 when Ingram left the game early with a concussion, but it was Ingram who looked like the more dangerous player in Week 12 against the Rams. Still, the Saints seem content dividing the touches, and both players should be viable fantasy options in a favorable Week 13 tilt at home against the Lions.

Hightower gained 69 yards on 12 carries and hauled in eight of nine targets for 57 yards in Thursday's 23-20 loss to the Panthers.
EDGE Analysis
Hightower took on the clear lead back role Thursday, after he and Mark Ingram split touches almost evenly in Week 10. He was also highly impressive in the passing game, tallying a season-high eight receptions. If Thursday's workload distribution is to be trusted, Hightower may have a firm hold on No. 1 tailback duties at present, and has proven he can stay on the field for all three downs if necessary. He'll look to continue his solid play against the Rams in Week 12.

Hightower caught two passes for 34 yards and added 21 yards on eight carries in Sunday's loss to Denver.
EDGE Analysis
Hightower was quiet for much of the game, save for a 23-yard snag that set up the Saints' second touchdown. The Broncos have had trouble against pass-catching backs, but the Saints seldom went to that well. Sunday was a bit of a crash back down to earth for Hightower, who averaged 25.5 touches and 102 yards per game over the past two weeks, but it'd be too early to fret. Mark Ingram, who Hightower is splitting touches with, touched the ball just three more times than Hightower and averaged 4.8 yards per touch as compared to Hightower's 5.5. It's possible that the game simply dictated fewer looks for the backfield and so don't let the outcome influence future confidence in the veteran.

Hightower and Mark Ingram will likely continue to split carries, ESPN's Mike Triplett reports.
EDGE Analysis
Hightower started Sunday's game in San Francisco and took 23 carries for 87 yards and a touchdown, with Ingram adding 171 scrimmage yards and another pair of scores. The sum production will likely be far less in Week 10 against the Broncos, but both running backs figure to have key role.

Hightower had 23 carries for 87 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 41-23 win at San Francisco. He caught his lone target for 15 yards.
EDGE Analysis
Hightower dominated the action early, rushing eight times before Mark Ingram even touched the ball. While Hightower ended up leading the Saints in rushing attempts Sunday, Ingram blew up for 158 rushing yards and two touchdowns (one rushing, one receiving). It's tough to read too much into Sunday's distribution of work, as the 49ers were a very favorable matchup. For now, both players should remain involved. Next up for the Saints are the Broncos in Week 10.

The Saints' backfield will likely be a timeshare between Hightower and Mark Ingram "for a little while, at least," according to Mike Triplett of ESPN.com.
EDGE Analysis
Last Sunday versus the Seahawks, Hightower took over for Ingram following another bout with fumblitis and proceeded to turn a season-high 26 carries into 102 yards. With the worst run defense on the docket this Sunday in San Francisco, both Hightower and Ingram are candidates to profit, but who among the pair handles the majority of the touches is unclear. Consequently, their timeshare could limit each player's viability.

Hightower has earned more carries as the Saints prepare for Sunday's game against the 49ers, ESPN's Britt McHenry reports.
EDGE Analysis
Hightower finished with 102 yards on 26 carries against the vaunted Seahawks defense after teammate Mark Ingram was pulled for another fumble Sunday. That workload greatly exceeded Hightower's previous season high of five carries, which came in New Orleans' prior game amid Ingram fumbling as well. After two strong relief showings have boosted the 30-year-old Hightower's average to 4.2 yards per rush, getting him the ball more is reportedly part of New Orleans' Week 9 game plan. That being said, the Saints' backfield figures to continue to deploy a committee approach, which, along with their offense's penchant for passing, should probably temper Hightower's heightened expectations.

Hightower rushed 26 times for 102 yards and caught one of three targets for no gain in Sunday's 25-20 win over the Seahawks.
EDGE Analysis
Hightower took over as the primary running back after Mark Ingram was benched in the first quarter following a lost fumble that was returned for a touchdown by Earl Thomas. Ingram's fumbling issues likely haven't taken him out of the rotation for good, but Hightower should certainly factor in more moving forward after proving capable of effectively carrying a full load. That being said, the Saints will likely continue to rely primarily on the pass due to their defense's inability to stop opponents from scoring.

Hightower gained 39 yards on five carries and five yards on one reception in Sunday's loss to the Chiefs.
EDGE Analysis
There were reports last week that Hightower had fallen behind Daniel Lasco on the Saints' running back depth chart. However, with Lasco inactive due to a hamstring injury, Hightower served as Mark Ingram's primary backup in Kansas City. It remains unclear whether Hightower or Lasco would stand to benefit most if Ingram were to miss any time with an injury, but neither has much value so long as Ingram remains healthy.

Hightower did not play a single offensive snap in Sunday's win against the Panthers. According to the New Orleans Times-Picayune, Hightower has fallen behind Daniel Lasco on the Saints' running back depth chart.
EDGE Analysis
Hightower played exclusively on special teams, whereas Lasco, a seventh-round rookie, played five snaps on offense. Although Mark Ingram remains the Saints' primary ball carrier and Travaris Cadet is the team's top receiving option, it appears that Lasco, not Hightower, would be the main beneficiary should Ingram miss any time with an injury.
