Woods (hip) isn't participating in Tuesday's practice, DJ Bien-Aime of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Woods and fellow wideout Noah Brown (back) were both absent from the Texans' first practice of the week after the two were sidelined for this past Saturday's 23-19 win over the Colts. Both receivers will have two more opportunities to mix into drills before the Texans potentially give either player a designation for this Saturday's wild-card game against the Browns. While Woods and Brown were sidelined in Week 18, John Metchie (one catch for five yards on two targets) and Xavier Hutchison (one catch for six yards on four targets) settled into top-three roles at receiver, but neither came through with a useful fantasy line.

Woods (hip) is inactive for Saturday's game at Indianapolis.
EDGE Analysis
Woods departed the Texans' Week 17 win against the Titans in the fourth quarter due to a hip injury, which didn't allow him to practice during Week 18 prep. He then entered the weekend with a questionable designation, but after doing a pregame workout, he won't be available to Houston's offense. With Tank Dell (fibula) on IR and Noah Brown (hip) inactive, John Metchie, Xavier Hutchinson and Johnny Johnson will be the options to mix in at wide receiver along with No. 1 Nico Collins.

Woods (hip) is listed as questionable for Saturday's game against the Colts.
EDGE Analysis
Woods wasn't able to practice in any capacity this week, but the Texans aren't closing the door on the veteran wideout being available for Saturday's contest. Noah Brown (back), meanwhile, has already been ruled out for Week 18, so if Woods joins him on the inactive list, Houston would likely turn to youngsters John Metchie and Xavier Hutchinson to take on more reps alongside No. 1 receiver Nico Collins. Even if Woods is available to play without any limitations, he hasn't shown the ability to produce fantasy-friendly stat lines this season. Woods has maxed out at six catches and 74 receiving yards over his 14 appearances thus far in 2023.

Woods (hip) remained sidelined for Wednesday's practice.
EDGE Analysis
Both Woods and Noah Brown (back) have opened the practice week with back-to-back DNPs ahead of Saturday's win-or-go-home game against the Colts. Woods played 64 percent of the offensive snaps last week versus Tennessee, catching all four of his targets for 58 yards. He has just one touchdown on the season.

Woods (hip) didn't take part in Tuesday's walkthrough.
EDGE Analysis
Woods and Noah Brown (back) were estimated as non-participants to kick off Week 18 prep after both players were knocked out of this past Sunday's win versus the Titans. Their respective activity levels Wednesday and Thursday likely will be key to determining if one or both have chances to play Saturday in Indianapolis.

Woods was forced out of Sunday's 26-3 win over the Titans with a hip injury.
EDGE Analysis
Prior to his exit from the contest, Woods had caught all four of his targets for 58 yards. Meanwhile, Noah Brown also was forced out of the game with a hip injury, so the status of the two wideouts will need to be monitored as next weekend's game against the Colts approaches.

Woods caught two of six targets for 14 yards in Sunday's 36-22 loss to the Browns in Week 16.
EDGE Analysis
Woods maintained elevated usage (61 snaps) even with the return of top wideout Nico Collins from a calf injury. Collins was on the field for just 35 snaps, which could have been a decision to hold him back due to the game getting out of hand early. With various injuries at wideout the last two games, Woods has 11 targets and played 81 percent of the offensive snaps.

Woods caught three of five targets for 30 yards in Sunday's 19-16 overtime win over Tennessee in Week 15.
EDGE Analysis
Woods had been on the outs recently, but he was afforded an increased role (62 snaps, 81 percent) with both Nico Collins (calf) and Tank Dell (lower leg, IR) unavailable. Collins never practiced in preparation for Week 15, which leaves his availability for Week 16's home game against Cleveland in doubt. If he can't go, Woods should reprise an enhanced role in the passing attack.

Mon 12/4/23 9:27 AM

Woods played 32 snaps and was not targeted in Sunday's 22-17 win over Denver in Week 13.
EDGE Analysis
Woods saw a season-low snap count, even though Tank Dell was limited to nine snaps following a season-ending leg injury. Noah Brown joined Nico Collins as the top two receivers after Dell left the contest, and John Metchie (24 snaps, three targets) was near Woods in terms of playing time. Woods opened the season as a starter at wideout alongside Collins but had dropped to fourth on the depth chart prior to Dell's injury. Woods did have an eight-target game as recently as Week 11, however.

Sun 11/26/23 8:15 PM

Woods caught two of three targets for 40 yards in Sunday's 24-21 loss to the Jaguars in Week 12.
EDGE Analysis
Woods found himself on the edge of quarterback C.J. Stroud's target distribution. Nico Collins (nine targets) and Tank Dell (eight), each of whom scored a touchdown Sunday, further established themselves as the team leaders at wide receiver. Given the way Noah Brown (knee) performed -- 13 catches, 325 yards, one touchdown -- in the two games leading up his Week 10 injury, a strong case can be made that Woods is fourth on the depth chart when all receivers are healthy.
