Giants declared WR Ramses Barden, RB Da'Rel Scott, LB Mark Herzlich, G/C Jim Cordle, DE Justin Trattou, DT Jimmy Kennedy, and OT James Brewer inactive for the Divisional round at Green Bay. Barden fell out of the receiver rotation when Mario Manningham got healthy. The Giants activate special teamer Devin Thomas over him. Scott, Herzlich, Cordle, Trattou, and Brewer are rookies. Kennedy is an impending free agent.

Giants WR Ramses Barden caught three balls for 38 yards in the Giants' Week 12 loss to the Saints. With Mario Manningham (knee) out, Barden was able to see a jump in his snap count and this qualifies as decent production for him. Obviously, there is little value here with or without Manningham around.

In Giants pre-game warmups ahead of Monday night's game, Ramses Barden is working in three-receiver sets along with Hakeem Nicks and Victor Cruz. Mario Manningham (knee) is not participating. Our expectation is that Barden will be the slot receiver with Nicks and Cruz outside when the Giants employ their base three-wide formations, although Cruz and Barden can mix and match. Nicks is a WR1 tonight, Cruz a WR2, and Barden is a desperation option.

Giants WR Ramses Barden was activated off the PUP list in advance of Week 9's game against the Patriots. He will see action in the slot with Hakeem Nicks (hamstring) out, but expecting him to play more than 20 snaps is overly optimistic. He would need a serious injury ahead of him to matter in fantasy leagues, and right now Nicks' injury doesn't really qualify. At 6'6" tall, the Cal Poly grad is an interesting red zone target, nonetheless.

Giants WR Ramses Barden is expected to be activated from the PUP list this week. Barden took "a good portion" of the first-team practice reps Wednesday with Mario Manningham (illness) and Hakeem Nicks (hamstring) out. Mario and Nicks are both expected to play this week, and Victor Cruz is way out in front of Barden for third receiver duties. Don't expect any 2011 fantasy impact.

Giants WR Ramses Barden (PUP, ankle) resumed practicing Monday. The Giants now have three weeks to decide whether to activate Barden from the PUP list or place him on injured reserve. Barden has appeared in just nine games since being a third-round pick in 2009, making only six catches. With Victor Cruz firmly entrenched as the Giants' third receiver, Barden won't be a factor down the stretch.

Giants WR Ramses Barden (PUP, ankle) expects to return to practice on Tuesday. The Giants will have three weeks to decide whether to activate Barden from the PUP list after nearly a year on the sidelines. Victor Cruz is entrenched as the No. 3 receiver, and OC Kevin Gilbride concedes that Barden will face a "tremendous" amount of rust in his return.

Giants placed WR Ramses Barden (ankle) and C Adam Koets (knee) on reserve/PUP. Neither player will be eligible to return before Week 7. Barden has had multiple setbacks since suffering a "significant injury" to the deltoid ligament in his left foot in addition to a fracture in his left leg. The 2009 third-rounder has just six catches in nine career games. Koets won't come back to a major role after the Giants signed David Baas to man center.

Giants WR Ramses Barden (ankle) expects to "soon" be activated off the active/PUP list. That's an upgrade on a week ago, where Barden had no timetable for a return. However, he did caution he could still begin the season on the PUP list. That would be a huge disappointment for a player that could have potentially emerged as the Giants' No. 3 receiver if healthy. He's not worth a late-round pick right now.

Giants WR Ramses Barden (ankle) conceded this week that he still has no timetable to be activated from camp/PUP. The Giants have a prime opening for snaps at the third spot in their receiver corps, but the injury-prone underachiever can't get off the shelf. Barden had surgery all the way back in March. He should've been healthy months ago.
