The Broncos are considering moving S Omar Bolden to cornerback. Bolden was a rotational safety with Denver last season, playing on a career-high 211 snaps. T.J. Ward, Rahim Moore, Quinton Carter, and Duke Ihenacho are locked in as the Broncos' top four safeties. Bolden's best chance at making the team could be as the No. 5 corner. A 2012 fourth-round pick, Bolden will remain a deep reserve if he keeps his roster spot.

Broncos secondary coach Corey Undlin hinted 2012 fourth-round CB Omar Bolden is competing just to keep his roster spot in 2013. Champ Bailey, Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, and Chris Harris are locked in as Denver's top three corners. Tony Carter is No. 4, and they used a third-round pick on Kayvon Webster. "You draft a corner in Kayvon and then you bring in Aaron Hester, the free agent kid," noted Undlin. "You're in the middle of the depth chart right there. You're counting numbers and there's only so many spots."

Omar Bolden worked as the Broncos' nickel corner during offseason workouts. A fourth-round pick in 2012, Bolden was limited to special teams and appeared in just seven games as a rookie. The Broncos are expected to give him an expanded role as their No. 3 corner this season. Quinten Jammer and Tony Carter should also see playing time in sub-defenses

Broncos VP of Football Operations John Elway anticipates 2012 fourth-round CB Omar Bolden competing for a starting job in 2013. "You bet," Elway said. "He's a fighter. His comment to me was that he is going to come back for next season and take somebody's job." Bolden tore his ACL twice in college, but stayed healthy as a rookie while racking up ten special teams tackles. He'd battle Chris Harris and Tony Carter opposite Champ Bailey.
