Foster had five tackles (three solo) in Sunday's 24-6 win over Arizona, playing 37 of 53 defensive snaps.
EDGE Analysis
If Week 1 is any indication, the Washington linebacking corps could be a disappointment in terms of IDP value. The team took Foster and Zach Brown off the field in some passing situations, using Josh Harvey-Clemons and Zach Vigil instead. Foster isn't a recommended IDP option for Week 2 against the Colts.

Foster (stomach) played 15 defensive snaps and notched a tackle in Thursday's preseason game against the Jets.
EDGE Analysis
Foster was limited early in camp due to a strained stomach muscle, but it appears the issue is well behind him at this point. The veteran is expected to start at inside linebacker for Washington again in 2018.

Foster was a limited participant during Tuesday's practice with a strained stomach muscle, John Keim of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Foster, who played in just five games during the 2017 season, is dealing with another minor injury with training camp underway. The issue doesn't appear to be anything too serious, however, so his return should come shortly.

Foster re-signed with the Redskins on Thursday, Stephen Czarda of the Redskins' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Foster played through a torn labrum before being placed on injured reserve following Week 7. The eighth-year linebacker should have a role cut out for him in the Redskins' defense next season given that he can get healthy.

The Redskins officially placed Foster (shoulder) on injured reserve Saturday, Brian McNally of the Richmond Times-Dispatch reports.
EDGE Analysis
Foster has been playing through a torn labrum and will likely undergo surgery in the near future. Martell Spaight and Will Compton should both see increased workloads at inside linebacker with Foster officially out on injured reserve.

Foster will have surgery to repair a torn labrum and is expected to be placed on injured reserve, Master Tesfatsion of The Washington Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Foster has been playing on the torn labrum, but it appears as though the pain ultimately became too much to manage. So, to prevent any further damage, the linebacker will undergo what is believed to be season-ending surgery. Both Will Compton and Martrell Spaight are expected to take on additional snaps at inside linebacker in Foster's absence.

Foster (shoulder) is officially active for Monday night's game against the Eagles.
EDGE Analysis
Foster earned the questionable tag after putting in limited practice sessions this week, but will give it a go Monday. The 28-year-old looked good in his return to action in Week 6 and had the team's bye week to further recuperate from a Week 2 shoulder dislocation.

Foster recorded seven tackles (six solo) in Monday's loss to the Chiefs.
EDGE Analysis
Foster didn't appear to be slowed down by a shoulder injury that left him limited in practice all of last week, as the inside linebacker put together a solid performance Monday night. He'll now get a chance to rest the injured shoulder as the team enters their bye week, which will hopefully leave Foster in full health for Week 6's tilt with the 49ers.

Foster (shoulder) is officially active for Monday night's game against the Chiefs.
EDGE Analysis
Foster was listed as questionable after practicing on a limited basis throughout the week, and will suit up for his first game action since dislocating his shoulder Week 2. The 28-year-old should resume his usual role at inside linebacker since there has been no mention of a limited snap count.

The Redskins have officially listed Foster (shoulder) as questionable for Monday's matchup versus the Chiefs, John Keim of ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Foster injured his shoulder in Week 2 against the Rams, and was sidelined for their subsequent game against the Raiders as a result. His presence at practice throughout the week is cause for optimism regarding his status for Monday, but a final decision is unlikely to be made until closer to game time. Will Compton would presumably fill in for Foster should he ultimately be ruled out.
