Hayden was released by the Bears on Saturday, ESPN Chicago reports. Hayden was buried on the depth chart at cornerback and didn't see the field in Week 1 against the Bills. The 10-year veteran will now have to look for work elsewhere, but may be able to find a few suitors for his services.

Hayden agreed to a contract with the Bears on Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of The Baltimore Sun reports. Hayden was cut by the Bears last week, but it appears the team was not ready to let him go just yet. Hayden will act as a reserve cornerback for the Bears just as he has the past few seasons.

Hayden has been released by the Bears, Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune reports. After the Bears selected Kyle Fuller in the first round of May's draft, Hayden was left to compete for a role as the fourth or fifth corner. Sherrick McManis and Al Louis-Jean now look like the favorites to fill those spots.

Bears re-signed CB Kelvin Hayden to a one-year contract. Hayden, 31 in July, missed the entire 2013 season with a torn left hamstring and has battled various injuries throughout his career. He appeared in all 16 games in 2012 and is a key special teams player. Hayden will compete for nickel corner duties in 2014. He's likely signing for the veteran's minimum.

ESPN Chicago reports there's a "strong" chance the Bears re-sign free agent CB Kelvin Hayden. Hayden tore his left hamstring last summer and spent the season on injured reserve. He was expected to serve as the Bears' nickel corner. With Charles Tillman a free agent and looking like he could be headed elsewhere, Hayden will help stabilize the position for the time being. He'll likely only net a one-year deal.

Bears placed CB Kelvin Hayden on injured reserve with a torn left hamstring, ending his season. The move to injured reserve was just a formality. Hayden faces a six-to-eight month recovery and should be ready for OTAs next spring. He'll be a free agent next March, so he might face a frosty market early on. Isaiah Frey and Zackary Bowman will compete for nickel duties in Chicago with Hayden out.
