Lewis (hip) is scheduled to visit with the Steelers, Mike Triplett of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Lewis was released by the Saints last Friday as he continued to deal with hip issues throughout the preseason. The veteran cornerback expects to be ready for Week 1 but his medical history could discourage Pittsburgh from bringing him on. If he does sign with the Steelers, he will likely serve as an established third cornerback behind William Gay and Ross Cockrell.

Lewis (hip) was released by the Saints Friday, Josh Katzenstein of the Detroit News reports.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran corner has been dealing with a hip injury during training camp. He has spent his last three seasons with the Saints, but saw his role greatly reduced last season.

Lewis (hip) learned that he is dealing with an abductor strain and does not have a season-ending injury Thursday, Sean Fazende of Fox 8 reports.
EDGE Analysis
Lewis has been nursing a hip injury for nearly a week now. Luckily for the depth corner, the injury does not appear to be season-ending and his chances of making the Saints' 53-man roster live to see another day. Prior to last season, the 30-year-old played in 16 regular season games over four consecutive years with both Pittsburgh and New Orleans.

Lewis (hip) did not practice Thursday, ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Lewis had been sidelined until Wednesday while residing on the Saints' PUP list, but did not suffer any setbacks as his absence on Thursday was a scheduled day off, according to head coach Sean Payton. For now, expect the Saints to continue taking a cautious approach in bringing Lewis back from hip surgery.

Lewis (leg) returned to practice on Wednesday, ending his stint on the PUP list.
EDGE Analysis
Lewis missed the first few days of training camp due to a sports hernia he suffered back in January. He'll now look to compete with Delvin Breaux for the starting cornerback gig.

Lewis has been placed on the Saints' physically unable to perform list to start training camp, Mike Triplett of ESPN NFL Nation reports.
EDGE Analysis
Lewis had sports hernia surgery in January and took reps during offseason workouts, but the team has still placed hi on the PUP list, which comes as a bit of a surprise. He'll likely be able to play sometime in the preseason, but it's unclear when that will be. Look for Delvin Breaux and Damian Swann to see some extra reps while Lewis is kept out of practice.

Lewis (hernia) participated in team drills during the Saints' OTAs and should be ready for training camp, The Oregonian reports.
EDGE Analysis
Lewis underwent sports hernia surgery in January, his third time under the knife since last season. Nonetheless, having taken reps in team drills just five months after the surgery bodes well for his availability for training camp. His return to the fold in the Saints' secondary should presumably bolster a unit that ranked near the bottom of the league in nearly every major defensive category in 2015, including an NFL-record 45 surrendered touchdown passes.

Lewis underwent hip surgery Monday, The New Orleans Advocate reports.
EDGE Analysis
Lewis was placed on season-ending injured reserve recently due to hip and knee complications, and had surgery on his hip labrum Monday to correct that ailment. The veteran will now aim to get healthy ahead of next season, while the Saints' porous defense tries to at least finish this season respectfully.

Lewis (knee, hip) was placed on season-ending injured reserve Thursday, Mike Triplett of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Lewis finishes his season with just six tackles in six games, as the knee and hip injuries he's nursing -- along with a preseason sports hernia -- conspired to shorten his campaign. The depleted Saints secondary signed Chris Owens earlier this week to add depth in place of Lewis.

Lewis (hip) has been ruled out for Sunday's game in Indianapolis.
EDGE Analysis
Lewis seemingly returned from his early-September hip surgery too soon, as he barely saw the field in his three appearances. Even with Delvin Breaux stepping up as the top cornerback, Lewis might eventually have a starting job, if he can get actually get healthy.
