Coach Mike Pettine has yet to rule Dansby (knee) out for Sunday's game against the Falcons, Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports. With regard to Dansby's chances of suiting up this week, Pettine indicated "I don't think the possibility is high, but there's still a possibility." At this stage, we'll consider the linebacker's Week 12 status doubtful, though there's a decent chance he'll be ruled out by the end of the week.

Dansby (knee) could be out a month, NFL.com's Albert Breer reports. He suffered an MCL injury on Sunday, and coach Mike Pettine said the team is unsure if Dansby will need surgery. However, the initial timetable of a month gives hope to the idea of Dansby returning before the end of the season.

The Browns believe that Dansby (knee) suffered a sprained MCL on Sunday, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. A more concrete diagnosis and a timetable should become available early in the week, as the Browns have Dansby scheduled for further tests on his knee Monday.

Dansby, who left Sunday's game against the Texans in the second quarter with a knee injury, has an MRI on tap, the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports. More on Dansby's status in the coming days, but it looks like the linebacker -- who has 73 tackles and three sacks in 10 games to date -- may miss some time.

Dansby had eight tackles (one solo) in Thursday's victory over the Bengals. Dansby continues to be a force inside for the Browns, leading the team in tackles (69) thought their first nine games of the season. Though he didn't record a sack Thursday, he has three of them on the year, which ties him with Desmond Bryant for the team lead. Dansby continues to be one of the stronger IDP options on this Cleveland defense.

Dansby has six tackles (three solo) and a sack in Sunday's loss to the Jaguars. Dansby also recorded two tackles for loss and a quarterback hit in the effort, and his three sacks are good enough for the team lead in Cleveland. The 32-year-old remains a quality IDP option moving forward.

Dansby recorded eight tackles (four solo) in Sunday's victory over the Titans. Dansby's performance pushed him ahead of Donte Whitner for the team lead in combined tackles, as the inside linebacker was able to once again showcase his utility as an IDP. He should continue to be a steady producer for fantasy owners moving forward.

Dansby recorded five tackles (three solo) in Sunday's loss to the Ravens. Dansby followed up last week's 12-tackle performance with a bit of a dud, failing to make much of an impact for the Browns on the defensive side. Despite the down performance in counting stats, he remains a strong IDP play as one of the top run stoppers in the Cleveland defense. Three weeks into the season, Dansby already has 23 combined tackles, one sack and an interception.

Dansby totaled 12 combined tackles (eight solo) with one sack in Sunday's victory over the Saints. Dansby once again played a major role in the Browns' defensive success Sunday, collecting the first of what will likely be many double-digit tackle performances on the season. He also was able to take down quarterback Drew Brees on a pivotal third-down sack in the fourth quarter, which ultimately took the Saints out of field goal range. As expected, the 32-year-old Dansby should continue to see plenty of opportunities to make plays for the Cleveland defense, all while showcasing his utility as an IDP.

Browns agreed to terms with ILB Karlos Dansby, formerly of the Cardinals, on a four-year, $24 million contract. The deal includes $10 million in the first year and $14 million guaranteed. The Browns are paying a hefty premium for a 32-year-old player that only garnered a one-year, $2.25 million contract a year ago, but they are getting an upgrade on D'Qwell Jackson. New coach Mike Pettine can plug Dansby into his 3-4 scheme and expect plus grades against the run as well as the pass. Dansby piled up 114 tackles, 6.5 sacks, four interceptions and 19 pass breakups as a key cog in the desert last year.
