Klug will move to the injured reserve due to a torn Achilles.
EDGE Analysis
Klug had dealing with a strained Achilles in advance of Sunday's game. The tear will require surgery, forcing Klug to miss the rest of the season and begin his recovery process. Mehdi Abdesmad will likely see increased action in Klug's stead.

Klug (Achilles) is active for Sunday's game against the Chiefs, BJ Kissel of Chiefs.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Klug logged a full practice Friday, which was good enough for the Titans to give him the green light to play. The lineman has logged 25 tackles and 1.5 sacks over 13 games this season, so he'll likely remain off the radar as an IDP option in most leagues.

Klug is dealing with a strained Achilles tendon and could miss time at practice this week, Terry McCormick of TitansInsider.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Look for more updates to surface ones the practice reports are released, but the news doesn't sound reassuring for Klug. Should he miss extended time, look for Mehdi Abdesmad to see increased action, as fellow defensive end Jurrell Casey continues to nurse a foot injury.

Klug re-signed with the Titans on a long-term deal Friday, Jim Wyatt of The Tennessean reports. Klug recorded 31 tackles and two sacks while playing defensive end in the Titans' 3-4 system. His role on the defensive line won't lend itself to much meaningful IDP intrigue, but he still represents a valuable cog for the Titans.

Titans DL Karl Klug will focus on playing defensive end this season. After a seven-sack rookie year, Klug dropped off to record just 3.5 sacks in 2012. With the additions of Sammie Lee Hill and Antonio Johnson to go along with Jurrell Casey and Mike Martin at defensive tackle, the Titans have decided to focus on using Klug at defensive end, where he'll see more one-on-one matchups.

The Nashville Tennessean suggests DT Karl Klug may be on the roster bubble in training camp. A seven-sack revelation as a 2011 rookie, Klug managed 3.5 sacks in 2012 and earned just 22 percent of Tennessee's defensive snaps. Adding Sammie Lee Hill and Antonio Johnson this offseason, the Titans are trying to get bigger up front. At 6-foot-3, 275, Klug is the club's smallest interior defensive lineman.

Fifth-round rookie DT Karl Klug leads the Titans with seven sacks this year. The total is the most by a Titans or Oilers rookie defensive tackle since sacks became an official stat in 1982. Klug also has nine quarterback pressures and 29 tackles while playing primarily on passing downs. Klub has combined with OLB Akeem Ayers, DT Jurrell Casey, and MLB Colin McCarthy to give the Titans defense four major contributors from the 2011 draft class.
