Brown has been claimed off waivers by the Bills, ESPN's Mike Rodak reports. A sixth-round pick in the 2013 draft, Brown got a shot to work as the Steelers' No. 3 wide receiver early in the 2014 season, but the results were borderline disastrous. He then disappeared from the offense after Week 6, and he'll likely be a long shot to make an impact with the Bills.

Brown did not play in Pittsburgh's 27-17 win over Cincinnati on Sunday night. Brown is a free agent whose status for 2015, based on his 12-94-0 line the season, is in question.

Brown is inactive for Sunday's game against the Colts, the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reports. Brown will sit out his second successive game, and is thus a break or two away from fantasy relevance.

Brown is inactive for Monday's game against the Texans, Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports. With Brown scratched this week, per Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, look for Lance Moore to work in the slot for the Steelers on Monday, with Martavis Bryant on track to see 10-15 snaps in his season debut.

Brown had two receptions for 10 yards on four targets in Sunday's 37-19 win over the Panthers Though Lance Moore (groin) made his Steelers debut, Brown surprisingly held on to the No. 3 wide receiver role, despite playing poorly the first two weeks of the season. Brown still hasn't made a good impression, but he may stick ahead of Moore, who was all but invisible in Sunday's game.

Brown lost a fumble on his only reception in Thursday's 26-6 loss to the Ravens. Brown dropped one of his targets and fumbled another, finishing the night with just six receiving yards, despite seeing plenty of the field. An injury to Lance Moore (groin) allowed Brown to open the season as Pittsburgh's No. 3 wideout by default, but he's made no case whatsoever to keep that role. If Moore isn't ready for Week 3, the Steelers might even consider Darrius Heyward-Bey or Martavis Bryant (shoulder) as the third receiver.

Brown had three receptions for 38 yards in the Steelers' 30-27 win over Cleveland Sunday. Brown saw four targets while getting extra snaps with the absence of because Lance Moore (groin) and Martavis Bryant (shoulder). If either, or both, return in Week 2, Brown's fantasy value is further limited.

With Lance Moore out this week, Brown is a candidate to see added opportunities Sunday against the Browns, the Steelers' official site reports. Brown remains behind Antonio Brown and Markus Wheaton in the team's wideout pecking order, but he figures to factor in out of the slot Sunday when the Steelers roll with three-receiver sets, an assignment that could garner him some short-term utility in deeper formats.

With Lance Moore out with an unspecified issue, Brown started at slot receiver for the Steelers in Thursday's preseason game against the Eagles, the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reports. Brown was targeted twice in the game and did not record a catch, with his utilization in Thursday's dress rehearsal seemingly confirming his current slotting as the team's No. 4 wideout behind Moore, as reflected by the team's posted depth chart.

Brown has a real chance of surpassing Lance Moore on the depth chart, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports. "I don't want to waste any opportunities or waste any practices," Brown said. Brown, who has taken most of the first-team snaps with Ben Roethlisberger, gives the Steelers the height they have been missing from their outside receivers. At 6-foot-3, Brown has six inches on Moore. Although the team has yet to play a preseason game, this is clearly a position battle worth watching.
