Long-term contract talks between the Jaguars and franchise player K Josh Scobee have stalled. Scobee received the non-exclusive franchise tag, but has yet to sign. A source tells the Florida Times Union that the four year, $16 million contract Sebastian Janikowski signed with Oakland two years ago is a reason for the stalled talks. Scobee nailed 92-percent of his field goals in 2011, which was third best in the NFL. Appropriately named Long Ding is the team's only kicker under contract.

Jaguars assigned the franchise tag to K Josh Scobee. Scobee is the fourth kicker to be franchised this offseason. The Jaguars' kicker since being a fifth-round pick in 2004, Scobee's 92 percent field-goal percentage was third in the NFL last season. He is 15-of-22 on kicks of 50 yards or longer since 2008.
