Gordon signed with Kansas City's practice squad Wednesday, Aaron Wilson of ProFootballNetwork.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
After being waived by the Chiefs on Monday, Gordon was expected to remain with the organization's practice squad upon clearing waivers. With that having now come to pass, Gordon provides Kansas City with added wideout depth ahead of Sunday's AFC Championship game against the Bengals. In 12 regular-season appearances, the 30-year-old caught five passes for 32 yards and a touchdown on 14 targets.

Gordon cleared waivers Tuesday, after which the Chiefs are expected to sign him to the practice squad, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
Since joining the Chiefs' active roster in early October, Gordon was unable to make much headway in the team's receiving corps, topping out at a 43 percent snap share Week 10, missing Week 15 due to a stint on the reserve/COVID-19 list and being inactive for both playoff games to date. Once he's officially back on the practice squad, he'll likely vie with Daurice Fountain for elevation for as long as Kansas City remains alive in the postseason.

The Chiefs waived Gordon on Monday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
Kansas City's decision to cut Gordon doesn't come out of nowhere; the 30-year-old wideout had been a healthy inactive for both of the Chiefs' first two postseason games. The team reportedly plans to sign Gordon to their practice squad, but he'll first have to go unclaimed off waivers by the NFL's other 31 teams. After signing a one-year deal with Kansas City in early October, Gordon suited up in 12 regular-season contests and recorded five receptions for 32 yards and a touchdown on 14 targets.

Gordon (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's contest against the Bills, Adam Teicher of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gordon played a minimal role for Kansas City during the regular season, and he'll be a healthy scratch for the second straight playoff game. His absence shouldn't significantly impact the Chiefs' offensive plans.

Gordon (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's wild-card matchup against the Steelers, Matt Derrick of ChiefsDigest.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gordon played a minimal role for Kansas City during the regular season, and he'll be a healthy scratch to begin the playoffs. His absence shouldn't significantly impact the Chiefs' plans on offense.

Gordon didn't catch his lone target in the regular-season finale versus the Broncos on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
Gordon was minutely used on offense after joining the Chiefs midseason, finishing out the campaign with only five catches for 32 yards and a touchdown on 14 targets. He's likely past the point in his career where we can expect a resurgence and he's set to become an unrestricted free agent again following the season.

Gordon reeled in his only target for five yards Sunday versus the Bengals.
EDGE Analysis
Gordon hasn't seen a ton of action for the Chiefs overall, and has just five catches for 32 yards and a touchdown to his name since joining the Chiefs. The veteran wideout isn't what he once was, given his extended layoff from action, and it doesn't appear like he will be much of a receiving threat for the Chiefs down the stretch and into the playoffs.

Gordon was unable to corral any of his three targets during Sunday's game against the Steelers.
EDGE Analysis
ON a positive note, Gordon did match his season-high mark for targets, but it came amidst just eight offensive snaps (12 percent) compared to the 1much larger snap counts he had posted over the previous six games. That being said, Godon was also just returning from a COVID-19 absence, so it's possible he wasn't quite 100 percent for this one. He's unlikely to be much of a fantasy factor even once he's back to full strength.

Gordon (illness) returned to practice Wednesday after being activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list, Herbie Teope of The Kansas City Star reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gordon's return bolsters Kansas City's wideout depth ahead of Sunday's game against the Steelers. With Tyreek Hill on the reserve/COVID-19 list, Gordon, Byron Pringle, Demarcus Robinson and Mecole Hardman are candidates to get extra work Week 16 if Hill isn't cleared to suit up versus Pittsburgh.

Gordon (illness) wasn't activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list ahead of Thursday's game against the Chargers, Nate Taylor of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gordon tested positive for the virus Monday so it's not a major surprise he didn't clear the health and safety protocols on short week. He'll have some extra time to clear the protocols before the Dec. 26 matchup with the Steelers.
