Bynes (wrist) practiced in a limited capacity Thursday, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
One of the residual effects of the Cardinals' dismal offense is plenty of action for their top defensive players. On the season, Cards hold down spots three through seven among NFL defenders in terms of most snaps on defense. Bynes is one of them and has parlayed the usage into 43 tackles and one sack. Until the offense gets going, he's a useful IDP, primarily due to the sheer volume of snaps.

Bynes posted 11 tackles (nine solo), including a sack, and a pass defensed in Sunday's win over the 49ers.
EDGE Analysis
Bynes has been a quality middle linebacker for Arizona, posting double-digit tackles in three of the team's five games. He's never recorded more than a single sack in a season, but he'll have a chance to do just that if he can get one more in the remaining 11 weeks. He'll look to keep up the strong play as the Cardinals aim to string together victories in Week 6 against the Vikings.

Bynes recorded 10 tackles (seven solo) across 74 defensive snaps in Sunday's loss to the Bears.
EDGE Analysis
Bynes recorded his second double-digit tackle performance this season, bringing his season total to 27 -- which ties him for eighth highest in the league. He hasn't showed any signs of slowing down, as he managed to play in 100 percent of the defensive snaps Sunday. He'll look to replicate this performance Sunday against a weak Seahawks offensive line.

Bynes (undisclosed) made three solo tackles and recovered one fumble during Sunday's 27-3 preseason win over the Cowboys.
EDGE Analysis
Bynes shook off a mystery injury and looked comfortable in his new role as middle linebacker. He likely won't play in Thursday's exhibition finale against the Broncos, but starter snaps during the regular season should propel Bynes to become into IDP relevance.

Bynes (undisclosed) participated in Sunday's practice but is still considered day-to-day, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Bynes has been sidelined for nearly a week and a half with an undisclosed injury, and while he was able to return to the practice field Sunday, it looks like he's still not 100 percent. Expect Bynes to be closely monitored and eased back into his regular workload this week.

Bynes did not practice Thursday, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
The reason for Bynes' absence has not yet been revealed. Perhaps there's a minor injury that's keeping him on the sidelines, but if the Auburn product misses a string of practices there will be justified concern moving forward. As for now, we'll hold off from any major concerns until more information is provided.

Coach Steve Wilks recently said Bynes will handle middle linebacker in the Cardinals' switch in defensive scheme from a 3-4 to a 4-3, Darren Urban of the team's official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Bynes will line up between Will LB Deone Bucannon and Sam LB Haason Reddick, two of the Cardinals' last four first-round picks. A journeyman linebacker, Bynes previously earned a significant snap count in 2015 with the Lions, tallying 82 tackles on 78 percent of the defensive snaps. In the two outings (Weeks 12 and 13) in which he surpassed that usage with the Cards last season, he racked up 17 tackles, but Bucannon only logged five D snaps during that stretch. With Bucannon healthy, Bynes may struggle to post a considerable number of stops from game to game, but the prospect of a guaranteed gig still should be beneficial.

The Cardinals and Bynes (ankle) agreed to a three-year contract Wednesday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Networkreports.
EDGE Analysis
The Cardinals opted to let veteran inside linebacker Karlos Dansby walk in free agency, leaving Bynes as the current candidate to take over in the starting lineup next to dollar LB Deone Bucannon. In the two games in which he received the most run last season (Weeks 12 and 13), Bynes posted a combined 17 tackles and one forced fumble, so the front office may be confident they have a competent in-house replacement.

Bynes (ankle) is in line to re-sign with the Cardinals when free agency opens Wednesday, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
With starters Karlos Dansby and Deone Bucannon set to hit free agency Wednesday, Bynes is needed as a possible replacement. In his seventh season, Bynes made 36 tackles, one sack and one interception while playing more than 20 defensive snaps in a game just four times.

Bynes (ankle) finished the 2017 season with 36 tackles (31 solo), two forced fumbles, one sack and one interception in 14 games for the Cardinals
EDGE Analysis
Bynes put together a solid two-game stretch in Weeks 12 and 13 with 17 tackles (16 solo), but failed to have a significant defensive role through most of the season. The 28-year-old signed a one-year contract with the Cardinals last spring and slated to become an unrestricted free agent.
