Jonathan Dwyer rushed one time for four yards in Sunday's Week 7 win over the Ravens. Dwyer is a power back that has no role because feature back Le'Veon Bell has more power.

Jonathan Dwyer rushed two times for seven yards in Week 4 against the Vikings. Dwyer barely saw the field behind Le'Veon Bell and Felix Jones. He's no longer needed in pass protection or on third downs and can be safely dropped in the majority of fantasy leagues.

Jonathan Dwyer had 12 carries for 39 yards in Sunday night's Week 3 loss to the Bears. Dwyer was used in a change-of-pace role behind Felix Jones and was the preferred option in pass protection over Isaac Redman. He had an impressive 25-yard run in first half and took over as the lead back after Jones fumbled in third quarter. Dwyer is nothing more than a desperation RB4 in re-draft leagues.

Jonathan Dwyer rushed one time for two yards in Monday night's Week 2 loss to Cincinnati. Dwyer played just two snaps. He was only in the game in the first quarter as the No. 2 back while Isaac Redman was being tested for a concussion. Dwyer is obviously well off the fantasy radar. He's behind Redman and Felix Jones.

Steelers will re-sign RB Jonathan Dwyer. Dwyer returns to the team that cut him nine days ago out of desperation, not desire. During Sunday's embarrassing Week 1 loss to the Titans, starter Isaac Redman was benched for ineffectiveness and two botched exchanges. Backup LaRod Stephens-Howling blew out his knee and newly signed Felix Jones barely played after whiffing on a blitz pickup. Unless Le'Veon Bell (foot) can get back for Week 2, look for Dwyer to step right back in and share time with Redman against the Bengals next Monday night. If Bell can get cleared, the Steelers will lean heavily on the rookie right away.

Free agent Jonathan Dwyer was among 11 players worked out by the Patriots on Friday. Additionally at the tryout were ex-Packers QBs Graham Harrell and B.J. Coleman. It appears the Pats were simply updating their emergency list. Dwyer is still only 24 and looked pretty good this preseason, but there are concerns around the league about his passion for football. He does want to keep playing.

According to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Jonathan Dwyer was waived in part because "his coaches did not feel he took his job seriously enough." This helps explain why Dwyer was cut even though the Steelers are without Le'Veon Bell (foot) for at least a couple more weeks. He showed up to spring workouts at least 25 pounds overweight and never got his nose in front of Isaac Redman. Dwyer went unclaimed on waivers and now reportedly has a few workouts lined up.

Ex-Steelers RB Jonathan Dwyer passed through waivers unclaimed and is now a free agent. Working against Dwyer was a $1.323 million base salary. We'd be surprised if he weren't signed quickly for closer to the fourth-year NFL minimum. Dwyer is a somewhat slow-footed power back who lacks versatility, but he can still add early-down thump to a running game. He's also only 24 years old.

Steelers waived RB Jonathan Dwyer. Dwyer averaged just 3.99 YPC on 156 rushes last season and showed up to spring workouts at least 25 pounds overweight. Still, it's stunning that the Steelers have cut him with Le'Veon Bell (foot) sidelined. It could be a sign that Bell will be back sooner rather than later. In the meantime, Isaac Redman is the heavy favorite for feature back duties while Felix Jones and LaRod Stephens-Howling play supporting roles.

ESPN expects Jonathan Dwyer to get "his share" of the carries while Le'Veon Bell (foot) is sidelined. Isaac Redman will likely start, but it's going to be a committee. Dwyer may get series to himself and LaRod Stephens-Howling will get some third-down work. With Bell's outlook getting rosier, there's limited upside with any member of this trio. Dwyer will get a chance to impress Thursday night as Redman continues to nurse a minor stinger.
