The Texans signed veteran nose tackle Ryan Pickett this week, a move designed to bolster the interior of the line.

Powe had three tackles and one sack in Saturday night's 32-0 preseason loss to Arizona. Powe was one of the few bright spots on defense for Houston. He's looking to become the starting nose tackle and Saturday's effort further embosses his status as the front-runner for the job.
