Jones is favored to split reps with Bud Dupree (undisclosed) as starting outside linebacker this season, Mark Kaboly of TribLive.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Jones recored 29 tackles, two sacks, one interception, and one forced fumble last season and will now look to see an expanded role as a starter this year. The Steelers have several options at outside linebacker, including Jones, Dupree, James Harrison, and Arthur Moats. Its the young guns, Jones and Dupree, who defensive coordinator Keith Butler seems to be high on as preseason gets underway. Jones said about the rotation, "Get in the best shape you can because, me and Bud, it is our year, and they are looking for us to do big things. We aren't coming off the field unless we are tired."

Jones recorded 29 tackles (15 solo), including two sacks during the regular season. He also had an interception, and forced fumble and two fumble recoveries on the season. EDGE Analysis
The fumble recovery was the first of his career, and came in Pittsburgh territory just two plays after Ben Roethlisberger had been intercepted by David Amerson. Jones will face the Browns, who are minus four in turnovers, and have lost four straight and six of their last seven games, in Week 10.
